establish a "Spot" location within user interface space

build the necessary mechanics and define a system of coordinates within user interface space to create something like the "location where the user currently works within the interface". Based on such coordinates, establish a way how to move this "Spot" location through the interface. This is meant a system layered on top of the well-established GUI mechanics. We aim at the ability to organise interactions based on a spatial metaphor.
